When a patient needs immediate attention?
SPO2 (Pulse-oxymeter reading) monitoring thrice a day.
If SPO2 level is 95 then
-Take 6 minute walk test, ie Take a walk for 6 mins at normal pace inside the room itself, and recheck reading on pulse-oximeter. Any drop in reading of 4 units pt needs referral. For example if previous SPO2 is 94 and post walk test 90, i.e difference of 4 or more.
Many patient present Temperature for first 5 days ..
High grade fever ie abv 100F which doesn’t reduce even after taking paracetamol requires attention
Or
Sudden high Fever spike on 7th day or later is also dangerous
Breathlessness/ continuous coughing episodes again requires referral.

Treatment For covid positive adults except pregnant and lactating mothers:
Tab Doxycycline(Doxy 1) 100mg twice a day 1 hr before breakfast and dinner for 5 days
Tab ivermectin 12mg 1 hr before lunch for 5 days
Tab paracetamol(Crocin 500mg/Dolo 650 mg/Calpol 500 mg) only if fever temp >100degrees F / 37.5degrees C(not more than 4 times per day)
Tab vit c (limcee/celine)twice a day after breakfast and dinner daily
Tab zinc(zinconia/zincovit) once a day after lunch daily
Cap Mashyne 60000 IU after dinner once a week for 4 weeks
Steam inhalation and Betadine gargles 5ml betadine in 5 ml water 5 times a day morning and night
Sleep in prone position most of the time
If oxygen saturation goes less than 94 /breathlessness referral to hospital is adviced
Caution:Pregnant and lactating women must not take ivermectin and doxycycline
Treatment for children less than 12 yrs
Syr Zincovit 1tsp bd
Uprise D3 1ml a day is all they need
